Help with boarding schools

City Study Group can guide parents who wish to enrol their child in an independent day/boarding schools or sixth form college. Our advice considers the child’s strengths and developmental areas as well as their long term educational goals. City Study Group also is aware that young people perform best at a school or college whose environment develops their confidence and where they feel comfortable socially. Young people respond to highly competitive cultures differently and it is important that they attend a school that can help them flourish.

In order to decide what is best for younger students, City Study Group can initially meet with or without parents being present. However, academic progress is jointly reviewed with parents and a listening session will take place where any questions can be discussed in depth. In order to provide correct and up-to-date information, our specialist counsellors read all relevant inspection reports from Ofsted as well as the UK league tables. Exam results are also checked so that City Study Group counsellors are aware relative strengths and which institutions would be the best match for the student. We also talk to staff members, and are happy to take into account any feedback from parents.

We have strong ties with many UK institutions and are able to coordinate with schools and colleges with respect to admissions applications.
